Free, family-friendly sports festival at Coney Island will offer strength contests, beach games, a tug-of-war competition, and more

The ninth annual Brooklyn Beach Sports Festival is back! This high-energy, active event features sports activities, fitness competitions, music, and more for individuals ages 8 and up. Participants can compete in the Calisthenics Contest including pull-ups, dips, push-ups, and freestyle facilitated by the National Calisthenics Association. 

Alongside the competition, the festival offers a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day including yoga, meditation, a Silent Disco, tug-of-war, cornhole, and additional games and challenges.  

To join the Adult Calisthenics or Freestyle Competition, please register on our website. The full list of activities includes:  

  • Calisthenics Skills Exhibition and Competition (Youth and Seniors start at 10 AM, Adults start at 11:15 AM)
    • Pull-ups
    • Dips 
    • Pushups  
  • Tug O’ War Competition 
  • Family-friendly activities:
    • Cornhole 
    • Kan Jam 
    • Spikeball 
    • Accept the Challenge Obstacle Course  
    • Flag Football Clinics 
    • Silent Yoga 
    • Silent disco, music, prizes, and more!
