Celebrate the FIFA World Cup with youth clinics, watch parties, community tournaments, cultural events, and opportunities for New Yorkers of all ages to experience the world’s game in their neighborhood parks

NYC Parks Commissioner Tricia Shimamura today announced the launch of the NYC Parks Summer of Soccer webpage, detailing a citywide lineup of free soccer programs, clinics, movie screenings, and community celebrations inspired by the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the global excitement surrounding the beautiful game.

If you’re looking for a field to play a game of soccer, the Summer of Soccer page makes it easier to find available spaces for pickup play by browsing our list of soccer fields across all five boroughs. In addition, as part of NYC Parks’ new Extended Field Lighting Hours initiative, New Yorkers can apply for permits extending until 11 p.m. at select fields and courts in every borough from June 11, 2026, through Labor Day weekend, creating 4,000 additional hours of evening play.
