BBB puts free books in the hands of children throughout New York City. Through interactive in-house programming, and at events run by community-based organizations, schools, local city officials, and more, we distribute new and gently-used books to babies, kids, and teens across all boroughs. Importantly, we help make home libraries a reality for children and families in neighborhoods disproportionately affected by historic inequities—even a few books are shown to boost a child’s potential, from educational to employment outcomes.
Our mission is critical, and we are working tirelessly to secure more books, more programming, more outreach, and more staff. In support of these efforts, one of our goals this holiday season is to increase last year’s donations by 20%. This means a fundraising goal of $50,000.
