NYC Parks Commissioner Tricia Shimamura will celebrate more than 400 young swimmers representing NYC Parks swim teams from across the five boroughs as they compete for individual and team awards at the 28th Annual Borough Cup Swim Championship!
Swimmers ages 6 to 18, representing 12 NYC Parks swim teams, will compete for individual awards! Parents and friends will be in attendance to cheer on the competitors.
NYC Parks Swim Teams are open to youth who can swim 50 meters freestyle in reasonably good form. Participants develop swimming skills, improve their fitness and learn competitive swimming strokes, as well as starts, turns, and team sportsmanship concepts. Teams compete during the fall, winter, and spring seasons.
