Brazil: Heart & Soul is the title of the inaugural exhibition that marks the union between the galleries and brings together works by artists who express the formal and poetic richness of Brazilian art.
Starting in September, Galeria Frente announces an international presence in New York in partnership with Galeria Henrique Faria, which will be renamed Galeria Frente + Faria,a new collaborative platform dedicated to Latin American art. This marks the beginning of an unprecedented institutional partnership between Galeria Frente, a leading figure in the Brazilian modern and contemporary art market, and Galeria Henrique Faria, which has specialized in geometric abstraction and Latin American conceptual practices for over two decades.
The union between the two galleriesโboth with a strong track record of researching, exhibiting, and promoting Latin American artโresults in a renewed platform dedicated to promoting historical and contemporary Latin American artists, establishing connections between collectors, curators, and institutions on a global scale. To mark the beginning of this union, Frente Faria presents Brazil: Heart & Soul,an exhibition highlighting the expressive breadth, historical depth, and cultural vitality of Brazilian artists, starting September 5th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the New York gallery. The free exhibition runs until December 20, 2025.
The opening exhibition, which features approximately 40 works including paintings and sculptures, will feature works by Alfredo Volpi, Amadeo Lorenzato, Rubem Valentim, Maria Auxiliadora, Josรฉ Antรดnio da Silva, Heitor dos Prazeres, Eleonore Koch, Mestre Didi, Conceiรงรฃo dos Bugres, Mirian Inรชs da Silva, Raimundo de Oliveira, Francisco da Silva, Waldomiro de Deus, Cassio M’Boy, and Agostinho Batista de Freitas.

Brazil: Heart & Soulmarks the beginning of a partnership that is expected to be long-lasting, as Acacio Lisboa, director of Galeria Frente, intends. “This partnership stems from a friendship spanning over two decades between Henrique and me, and naturally, we thought it would be a good time to begin a long-term working partnership. Furthermore, we live in a time when art is increasingly global, especially Brazilian art. There is growing interest from international clients in Brazilian artists, especially those with soul and roots who deeply reflect a more authentic and unique Brazil, free from international influences. And, like every gallery initiative, this one, I’m certain, will be a success.”
Henrique Faria echoes Acacio’s words. “I am deeply moved by this partnership with Galeria Frente. I believe it is a natural step in our strategy to showcase the vitality and quality of Brazilian art in New York and internationally, and what better way to do this than with a friendly gallery? For me, collaborating with a gallery that shares the same vision and commitment to Latin American art not only enriches our work but also reaffirms the importance of these synergies for strengthening and promoting our culture worldwide. After more than 25 years dedicated to the promotion and marketing of Latin American art, and at a time when we are witnessing major global changes, we feel ready to open a new front and take on this challenge with conviction and enthusiasm.
Thus, the new Frente + Faria gallery plans solo and group exhibitions, special presentations, and participation in international fairs, deepening the exchange between different artistic and cultural contexts, marking the beginning of a dynamic collaboration that aims to expand the visibility and impact of Latin American art in New York and reinforces the Brazilian gallery’s commitment to giving international projection to Brazilian art, contributing to the strengthening of a continuous and collaborative platform, guided by curatorial excellence, historical depth, and critical visibility.

Henrique Faria โ @hffanewyork
Henrique Faria opened its doors as a cabinet of art in New York in 2001, specializing in Latin American masters of geometric abstraction and mid-career contemporary artists. In 2007, the gallery ventured into the lesser-known field of Latin American conceptual practices. Its primary goal has remained to bring visibility to artists who are often underestimated or overlooked, but who deserve greater recognition. Over the past twenty years, museums and institutional collections have increasingly become Henrique Fariaโs main clients, as Latin American art gains global recognition.
