The 78-year-old Republican Donald J. Trump the 45th President of the United States survives an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania during the weekend.
The Secret Service, in a statement, said that the shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania “fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue” after which agents “neutralized the shooter, who is now deceased.”
President Joe Biden immediately stopped his ads campaign, called the former president at the hospital, and addressed the nation condemning any political violence, saying, ‘We must unite as a nation.”
