The Big Wave Risk Assessment Group (BWRAG) to Hold its First-Ever New York Summit in Long Beach, New York

The Surf Responder Summit offers surfers and ocean athletes of all ages and abilities fundamental life-saving skills in ocean safety and surf preparedness taught by the world’s best waterman and waterwomen

The Big Wave Risk Assessment Group (BWRAG) will hold its world-renowned ocean rescue and surf safety training in New York on June 1-2, 2024 in Long Beach, NY in partnership with Skudin Surf. This is the first time BWRAG will hold a training summit in New York. The New York Summit is supported by Patagonia, YETI, Sea-Doo, Surfline, and Allegria Hotel, which provide invaluable support to ensure that BWRAG Summits can occur in locations far from the organization’s home in Hawaii. 

The 2024 New York Surf Responder Summit will be led by a venerated instructor corps including 2x Big Wave World Tour Champion and Eddie Aikau Invitational Winner Greg Long, Water Safety Specialist Jon Hoover, MRV Risk Technician Specialist Vance Keaka Lime, Puerto Rico Big-Wave Charger and Co-Founder of Rincon Water Safety Organization Greg Carson, and others. The New York Summit will be hosted by WSL Big Wave Tour Competitor Will Skudin in partnership with his older Cliff Skudin  Skudin Surf.
