A variety of programming welcomes community members to the Museum
The Brooklyn Museum announces its lineup of March programming, including family concerts by the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, a Pints and Prints inspired by Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines, and a portrait photography workshop connected to Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. Additional programs include classes, tours, and special events that amplify the Museum’s exhibitions and collections, serve the surrounding community, and support learning through the visual arts.
Museum Members enjoy complimentary or discounted tickets and early access to public programs.

In the spirit of Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines, honor the antiestablishment ethos of DIY with a gender-expansive lineup of artists and collectives. Experience a range of experimental genres, such as drag, punk, folk medicine, and alternative interventions into film and poetry.
Pints and Prints: Copy Machine Manifestos
Friday, March 8, 7–9 pm
Pavilion, 1st Floor
Tickets are $35 and include after-hours admission to Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines, a complimentary drink, and a Brooklyn Museum tote. Art materials are provided.
Grab a brew and create your own art prints inspired by Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines. Teaching artist Sam Kelly leads a class centered on printmaking, a practice essential to DIY zines and art books. Plus, enjoy tunes from 8-Ball Community’s DJ Shiver.
Brooklyn Pop-Up Winter Artisans Market

Stop by our winter artisans market! Presented in partnership with Brooklyn Pop-Up, this weekend market features local vendors offering one-of-a-kind, handmade artwork, jewelry, fashion, and home goods.
Black is Beautiful: A Portrait Workshop with Evocation Studio
Saturday, March 9, 12–3 pm

Get inspired by Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys and the legacy of photographer and activist Kwame Brathwaite in this portrait film photography workshop. Explore the impact of the Black is Beautiful movement by learning about Brathwaite’s style and by working with models who express the expansiveness of Black identity. Plus, engage with other local creatives and have your developed photos featured on the Brooklyn Museum’s socials!
Artland: Character Design Workshops
Saturdays, March 9–30, 1–3 pm

Free with Museum admission.
Take a trip to Artland: An Installation by Do Ho Suh and Children and meet the creatures that live in this world of color and clay. Discover the Slimes, Blobbugs, and other species that inhabit Artland, and learn how to create these fantastical characters. These free, drop-in workshops are for all ages.
Art History Happy Hour: Giants
Thursday, March 21, 7–9 pm

Tickets are $30 and include one specialty drink and after-hours admission to Giants.
Our season of Art History Happy Hour continues with an evening of lighthearted and informative lectures celebrating Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.
Family Concerts: Five Magical Tales

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for ages 18 and under, and include Museum admission.

Teen Night

Zines connect people—and so will our second 2024 Teen Night, a teen-led program centered on art and activism! This evening will feature zine-inspired art-making, performances, and much more, just before the closing of our exhibition Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines.
