CityPickle Expands to Launch First Indoor, Permanent Location with a Restaurant and Bar
CityPickle, the urban home for pickleball, is pleased to announce the opening of its first pickleball club in Long Island City. The new 10,100 sq foot facility with 21-foot-high ceilings features four courts, a restaurant, bar, and retail shop.
This is CityPickle’s first brick and mortar location after successfully launching the largest pickleball installation in the Northeast in Central Park’s Wollman Rink, in addition to other activations in highly visible destinations such as Hudson Yards, Union Square, TWA at JFK Airport and City Hall in Philadelphia. The brand is also opening a seven court activation at Brooklyn’s Industry City on September 16.
“It’s a milestone moment to open CityPickle’s first permanent pickleball club in the heart of Long Island City, and we can’t think of a more perfect combination than dinking on the courts with margaritas and delicious food to enjoy,” said CityPickle Co-Founders Mary Cannon and Erica Desai. “We’ve experienced increased demand for pickleball across the City and look forward to continuing to spread the joy and community of the sport. This is just the first of many locations.”
CityPickle is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday. Court bookings are available via the CityPickle app or by visiting City-Pickle.com and can accommodate up to 8 players beginning at $10 per player per hour. CityPickle custom paddles are available for rent for $6, or players are welcome to bring their own.
CityPickle’s food menu features “dips, dinks and dunks” like hummus or beet ricotta with seasonal crudité and pita chips. Other shareable menu items and crowd favorites include a margherita style flatbread, classic cubano sandwich and super green grain bowl. On the weekends, breakfast sandwiches and an assortment of toasts are available. The cocktail menu includes drinks such as the spicy grapefruit mezcalita, frozen gin & tonic and hibiscus margarita. Of course picklebacks will also be available. Beer, wine and a full bar is available as well. Food and beverage is available from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday-Wednesday; 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday-Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 9 pm. on Sunday. See the full menus HERE
