Expanding on their commitment to free live entertainment for all New Yorkers, Bryant Park presents the inaugural season of Live After Dark, a mini-series of free cabaret-style musical sessions for the first three Tuesdays in August at the L’OR Porch at Bryant Park. All shows begin at 8:00 pm. Though food and drinks will be available for purchase at each performance, there is no cover charge, no ticket price, and no reservations necessary. Seats will be available for these shows on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Following in the tradition established by the Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America, Live After Dark events are programmed in collaboration with a number of New York City’s most respected cultural institutions. This year’s lineup features partnerships with Greenwich House Music School and The Asian American Arts Alliance and offers live shows with a major star of contemporary jazz, an innovator in Venezuelan traditional music, and an award-winning electroacoustic string duo.
The L’OR Porch, located adjacent to the Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain on the south side of the park, offers visitors the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Equipped with swings and lounge furniture, this casual outdoor eatery houses a full bar and restaurant offering burgers, salads, finger food, vegetarian options, beer, wine, coffee and specialty cocktails.
