Praised by the New York Times as “the breakout star of the Met Opera’s Ring,” Tomasz Konieczny is one of the most outstanding bass-baritones today, performing at the world’s biggest operatic stages, including the Metropolitan Opera (now stars as the accursed Dutchman in Wagner’s Der Fliegende Hollander), La Scala, Vienna State Opera, the Bayreuth Festival; an ambassador of Polish culture abroad, an excellent interpreter of Wagnerian characters, winner of many honors and distinctions.
The recital will spotlight music by Richard Strauss, Mykola Lysenko, Henryk Czyz, and Stanislaw Moniuszko.
