THE GREEN ROOM 42 – the intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway’s “off-night hotspot” by The New York Times – will present original Into the Woods star Danielle Ferland in her solo concert debut, “Sing for Your Ghosts, with two shows on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21, both at 7:00 PM. Ferland grew up on stage, made her Broadway debut at age 12, and spent her formative years entertaining packed audiences instead of going to the junior prom. Through stories and songs, she explores the conundrum of perception versus reality, and reveals what it’s like to always be singing for your supper. “Sing for Your Ghosts” is a jaunt of self-discovery, laughter and music, discussing being backstage with Sondheim, New York City in the ‘80s, and life as a commuting child actor. The show is written by Danielle Ferland and Abby Sher (The New York TimesThe New Yorker), directed by Darren Katz (The Lion King on Broadway, Resident Director), and features musical direction by Brian Nash (Silence! The Musical).
