On April 23, the Grammy Award-winning Takács Quartet returns to Caramoor’s Music Room. This season sees the ensemble performing at prestigious concert halls across Europe and North America, with concerts in Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Madrid, Philadelphia, Toronto, and more. At Caramoor, the quartet brings a program comprising Haydn, Fanny Mendelssohn, whose works have recently begun to move out of her brother Felix’s shadow, and Schubert’s final quartet, in G major.

Getting to Caramoor
Getting to Caramoor is simple by car or train. All parking is free and close to the performance areas. Accessible parking is also free and readily available. The Westchester estate is just one hour’s drive from Manhattan.
By train from Grand Central Station, take the Harlem Division Line of the Metro-North Railroad heading to Southeast, and exit at Katonah. Caramoor is a 3.5-mile drive from the Katonah station, where taxi service is always available. For current information, check the Metro-North schedule and contact the Box Office for more information.

For events — including indoor and outdoor concerts, Afternoons Teas, and tours of the Rosen House — we no longer require, but highly recommend, vaccination and the use of a mask.
