THE ABORTION TALKS: WORLD PREMIERE DOCUMENTARY SCREENING AND Q&A WITH FILMMAKERS JOSH SABEY AND SARAH PERKINS, PLUS PRO-CHOICE AND PRO-LIFE LEADERS
Sat, Oct 29, 12 pm, from $15
Join documentary filmmakers Josh Sabey and Sarah Perkins for the world premiere screening of their new film The Abortion Talks , followed by a conversation with several pro-choice and pro-life leaders featured in the documentary. On December 30, 1994, a man entered two Boston abortion clinics and opened fire, killing two employees and shocking the nation. In the aftermath, three pro-life and three pro-choice leaders met for secret talks, risking their safety and professions, to find a way to end the violence. These dialogues forever changed how they speak to and about each other. And together they successfully prevented future threats of violence. The Abortion Talks tells their story. But where do they stand now, in a post-Roe world? Find out in this crucial conversation about courage, transformation and hope in the face of one of the country’s most bitterly divisive political issues.
Following the screening and Q&A, 92NY with Essential Partners will host an exclusive reception, food and refreshments provided, and interactive in-person Share Our America dialogue where you will hear others’ stories and share your own. Register here for this exclusive post-screening event. Screening and Q&A tickets are available both in-person and online. The exclusive Share Our America dialogue is offered in-person only.
