NYC Parks and Outside today transformed Central Park into the nation’s largest urban adventure playground. Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts participated in free outdoor activities, including rock climbing, zip lining, archery, stand-up paddle boarding, and more. NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue welcomed parkgoers to the event.

“We are thrilled to welcome New Yorkers back to Central Park for this one-of-a-kind outdoor event!” Commissioner Donoghue said. “Adventures NYC is all about having fun, staying active, connecting with nature, and trying new things. We thank our partners at Outside and all of our sponsors for making this year’s fantastic line-up of free activities possible.”

Adventures NYC invites New Yorkers of all ages to celebrate the great outdoors and enjoy a day of adventure, with activities for all ages and skill levels. Back after a two-year hiatus, the event once again provided New Yorkers with opportunities to engage in some outdoor fun.

Adventures NYC 2022 was presented in partnership with Outside and sponsored by Vibram, Eddie Bauer, Onewheel, Aruba Tourism, and The Cliffs Climbing and Fitness, among others. For more information, visit the Adventures NYC event page
