The US Open of Surfing Huntington Beach presented by Shiseido, a World Surf League (WSL) Challenger Series (CS) event, is back ON. Continued two-to-three foot, choppy conditions await competitors as they look to separate themselves from the pack. Action resumes with men’s Round 2 Heat 9 will start at 8:05am PDT with the Women’s Round 2 to follow the men’s action.

A reinforcing windswell continues to push two-to-three foot surf into Huntington Beach Pier’s iconic southside arena for the remaining women to make their highly-anticipated debuts.

Day 3 will kick-off with another stacked heat featuring former Championship Tour (CT) Caio Ibelli (BRA), Liam O’Brien (AUS), Alonso Correa (PER) and 2021 Championship Tour rookie Matthew McGillivray (ZAF).

Hometown hero Kanoa Igarashi (JPN) returns to the water in Heat 12 as some of Round 1’s standouts join him in another superheat featuring annual CT qualification threat Evan Geiselman (USA), 2019 US Open Pro Junior victor and 2019 North America Regional Pro Junior champ Kade Matson(USA), and  Australia’s aerial expert Reef Heazlewood

The women will get their Round 2 underway with the likes of world-class competitors Caroline Marks (USA) (Heat 1), Keely Andrew (AUS) (Heat 2), Coco Ho (HAW) (Heat 4), Courtney Conlogue (USA) (Heat 7), Brisa Hennessy (CRI) (Heat 7), and many more hoping for their shot at a Round 3 spot.
