The US Open of Surfing Huntington Beach presented by Shiseido, a World Surf League (WSL) Challenger Series (CS) event, is back ON. Women’s Round 1 Heat 11 will start at 8:00am PDT. A reinforcing windswell continues to push two-to-three foot surf into Huntington Beach Pier’s iconic southside arena for the remaining women to make their highly-anticipated debuts.
2019 World Title contender, former US Open victor, Lakey Peterson (USA) makes her long-awaited return from injury earlier this year to start her US Open campaign against rising star Caitlin Simmers (USA), Japanese competitor Sara Wakita and Netherlands surfer Eveline Hooft.
2018 US Open victor Courtney Conlogue (USA) takes to the lineup she learned to surf at in Heat 13, joined by The Ultimate Surfer finalist Brianna Cope (HAW), alongside some of the top women threats including former CT competitor Brisa Hennessy (CRI), QS standouts Philippa Anderson (AUS), Summer Macedo (BRA), and emerging talents Alyssa Spencer (USA), Bettylou Sakura Johnson (HAW), and many more.
