Yesterday, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that landmarks across the state would be lit red, black and green on June 19 in celebration of Juneteenth. Additionally, Governor Cuomo issued aย proclamationย naming June 19 Juneteenth in the State of New York.

June 19, 2021 – New York City – Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that landmarks across the state will be lit red, black and green on June 19 in celebration of Juneteenth. Additionally, Governor Cuomo issued a proclamation naming June 19 Juneteenth in the State of New York. The following New York City landmarks will be lit in red, black and green tonight, June 19, in celebration of Juneteenth: One World Trade Center, The Empire State Building, Kosciuszko Bridge, Grand Central Terminal – Pershing Square Viaduct, and the MTA LIRR – East End Gateway at Penn Station.
