The World Surf League (WSL) Jeep Surf Ranch Pro presented by Adobe, the sixth stop of the Championship Tour (CT) is ON and will resume today at 8:08 am PT with the men’s Qualifying Runs Heats 5 and 6. The women’s Qualifying Runs Heats 2 and 3 will follow with the remaining competitors making their Jeep Surf Ranch Pro pres. By Adobe debut.
Reigning WSL Champion, Italo Ferreira (BRA) faces fellow countrymen Alex Ribeiro (BRA) and Caio Ibelli (BRA), along with Australians Wade Carmichael and Jack Robinson are in Heat 5.
Heat 6 features the two-time WSL Champion and current No. 1 on the world rankings, Gabriel Medina (BRA) as he battles Jabe Swierkocki (USA), Adrian Buchan (AUS), Jack Freestone (AUS) and Jadson Andre (BRA).
Women’s Qualifying Runs return to the water at 12:12 pm PT with Heat 2, starting off with former CT surfer and Rumble at the Ranch winner Coco Ho (HAW) up against Olympic qualifiers Amuro Tsuzuki (JPN) and Johanne Defay (FRA), as well as Nikki Van Dyke (AUS), Courtney Conlogue (USA), and current World No. 2 Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS).
Heat 3 brings out reigning four-time WSL Champion Carissa Moore (HAW) looking to hold her spot at the very top of the CT rankings while facing event wildcards Caitlin Simmers (USA) and Kirra Pinkerton (USA), along with Sage Erickson (USA), Keely Andrew (AUS), and Olympic qualifier Caroline Marks (USA).
Today, June 19, 2021 is International Surfing Day, and the WSL is working everyday to ensure that Surfing is for Everyone – diversifying the line-up and creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds, genders, race, and identity.
