The Rip Curl Narrabeen Classic presented by Corona, the third stop on the World Surf League (WSL) 2021 Championship Tour (CT), is ON starting at 7:05 a.m. AEST in clean two-to-three foot peaks at North Narrabeen. The women will kick off the competition with Seeding Round 1, followed by men’s Seeding Round 1.

“The surf has bumped up from yesterday and conditions are cleaning up here at North Narrabeen, so we are going to get competition underway,” said WSL SVP of Tours and Head of Competition, Jessi Miley-Dyer. “It looks like we should have surf all day so we are going to try to run all of Round 1 for the women and men. Women’s Round 1 will start at 7:05 a.m. local time.”

Up first today will be seven-time WSL Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) against Malia Manuel (HAW) and Brisa Hennessy (CRI). All three competitors will look to improve on their results from Newcastle last week.

Current World No. 1 Italo Ferreira (BRA) will be looking to keep his momentum rolling when he takes on form surfer Morgan Cibilic (AUS) and Rip Curl Wildcard and surfing icon, Mick Fanning (AUS), in Heat 6 of Men’s Round 1.
