Luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive has retailed its 1,000th new vehicle in Canada, less than a decade after the brand first opened its doors in the country in 2012.

The 1,000th unit, an Onyx Black 2020 720S Coupe, neatly mirrors the first McLaren delivered in Canada, a Black 2012 McLaren 12C. Both were delivered from McLaren Toronto, the country’s first McLaren retail point.

From 2013 to 2019, the McLaren brand has shown consistent and impressive sales growth, fueled by an expanding product line as well as additional locations in Vancouver (2014) and Montreal (2017). Pfaff Automotive Partners, based in Toronto, serves as the brand’s importer and also owns the Toronto and Vancouver retail locations.

The 1,000th new car delivery was a wonderfully positive end-point to a challenging year in 2020,” said Christopher Pfaff, President & CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. “We are so happy to be associated with the McLaren brand and its people. Across our company, we are all passionate motorsports enthusiasts, and love what the McLaren brand stands for – a commitment to industry-leading technology, high performance, and constant innovation. Moreover, as a manufacturer, they are open, transparent, and fast-moving.”

Pfaff Automotive has been a partner of McLaren in Canada since McLaren Automotive started its operations. They are more than just a retailer – they are true enthusiasts – which shows through their excellent sales performance and commitment to customer service, that has seen them win our Global Retailer Year of the Year award in the past,” said Tony Joseph, President of McLaren Americas. “We look forward to many more years of success together as we start our second decade in the marketplace.”

New vehicle sales are just one part of the McLaren story in Canada. All three McLaren retailers serve the McLaren brand with pre-owned vehicle sales, service, and parts, ensuring that every McLaren vehicle and customer on the road receives exceptional support throughout their journey. McLaren Toronto and Vancouver have both been named to the brand’s Premier Dealer Club on multiple occasions.
