What is Science Alliance all about?
- Introducing 6th and 7th Graders to unique, real-world, and cutting-edge science ideas
- Conveying the interdisciplinary nature of science

- Illustrating the diversity of STEM careers
- Engaging students in collaborative, creative teamwork
What does virtual learning look like at the Museum?
- Classes meet on Zoom and feature the Museum’s digital assets (videos, visualization software, and virtual hall tours).
- We send home materials to allow students to participate in interactive, hands-on activities.
- Our classes include guest appearances from Museum scientists.
- We use interactive tools to ensure that students are actively participating and fully engaged.
How to Register
- Please note that the Grade level for each program below refers to the Grade your child will enter in the 2020-2021 academic year.
- To register for each program, click the “buy now” button and add “SAP” to the Acceptance ID field during registration.
Fees and Cancellation Policy
- Each session costs $1,000. The Museum welcomes families seeking financial assistance for the Science Alliance Program. (Please note, only families from New York City are eligible for tuition assistance.)
- To receive a full refund (100%), you must cancel at least 30 days before the start of the program.
- To receive a partial refund (50%), you must cancel at least 15 days before the start of the program.
- If you cancel less than 15 days before the start of the program, you will not receive a refund.
- To cancel your registration in any of our programs, please call Central Reservations at 212-769-5200.
