Conversation Pieces are online, hour-long explorations of the Guggenheim’s collection, exhibitions, and architecture. In these live discussions meant to simulate the participatory aspects of on-site tours, a selection of artworks serves as the point of departure for dialogue and personal reflection. Centered around a new theme each week, all sessions are facilitated by a museum educator and encourage close looking and conversation among participants.
Explore and discuss works from the Guggenheim collection, and across art history, in which food plays the myriad roles of medium, inspiration, and storyteller, amongst others.
Conversation Pieces will be led virtually through Zoom, a free video conferencing software. Participants should have access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet with a microphone and internet access.
$15, $10 members, $5 students. A Zoom link and password will be emailed ahead of the program. All times listed are Eastern Time (ET).
