Lauren Indvik, recently appointed Fashion Editor of the Financial Times, interviewed Lorenzo Bertelli for the FT Luxury Summit – an annual conference dedicated to the luxury sector. The 2020 digital edition invited business and creative leaders and analysts to talk about how to face this unprecedented period and plan for future growth.
During his speech Lorenzo discussed: new trends for the sector, e-commerce and the binomial “digital-physical shopping experience”, diversity, environmental and social sustainability – which continues to be an aim for the Prada Group in every new project – and the crucial role of “broadcaster” that brands will have to take on in the near future to convey their values to consumers.
Speaking of the current situation, Lorenzo said: “I am optimistic about the future. We have overcome several crises and even in the face of this moment we have not broken down. The present is an opportunity for us to reflect deeply and generate significant changes; there is never a single thing to improve, but many small details to perfect all together. Only thus can the entire structure become stronger.”
