For grades K–2 or ages 5–7, A Picture Worth 1000 Words: Text in Art Register

Do you have an independent art enthusiast at home?

Are you looking for a virtual space to create and connect?

Join us for 45-minute live online sessions, where kids will engage with and get inspired by the artwork from the Guggenheim’s collection and special exhibitions, as well as the museum’s own architecture. Focusing on a new theme each week, we will share process-oriented art-making projects during each session to get kids started creating their own art! Participants will be encouraged to continue working independently after the class.

All are welcome (including siblings!) Micro-schools, teaching pods, and families learning remotely are encouraged to incorporate these sessions into their online learning program.

Sessions will be led virtually through Zoom, using all safety precautions and procedures. All participants will need access to a device with a camera and internet access. A Zoom meeting link and a materials list will be emailed at least 24 hours in advance of each class.

Sessions for grades Pre-K and K (ages 4– 5), K–2 (ages 5–7), 3–5 (ages 8–10), and 6–8 (ages 11–14) are offered each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Age groups are suggested; please enroll your child at the level that works best for them. All times listed are Eastern Time (ET).

$15, $10 for members. Discounted scholarships are available upon request.
