Join NYC Parks for the fourth annual Jackie Robinson Day Festival! This free, family-friendly event celebrates the contributions of this New York City legend to sports and the civil right movement and commemorates the American hero alongside the renowned park that steadfastly upholds his legacy.  

Jackie Robinson broke the Major League Baseball color barrier in 1947, and had a decades-long engagement with Harlem as an athlete, community activist, businessman, and family man.  

Festival activities include:  

  • Baseball clinics and games 
  • Live music and performances 
  • Jumbo games 
  • Arts and crafts 
  • Local food trucks 
  • Information from community organizations 

Participants in clinics and other recreational activities offered at this event must sign a waiver and provide photo identification before participating. Waivers will be provided at the event. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present with photo identification to sign the waiver. The event will be held rain or shine.
